Waka Flocka Flame has finally addressed his split from Tammy Rivera. Around one week after the reality star confirmed their breakup, the “Hard in da Paint” rapper revealed that he and Tammy are not with the drama. They are at peace with their breakup.

Waka shared how he loved that he got the opportunity to raise Charlie, Tammy’s daughter.

Flame shared, however, that he plans to expand his family in the future, but “needs time” because he wants to be present in his children’s lives.

The “Round of Applause” rapper has been involved in Rivera’s daughter Charlie’s life since she was four, but has no biological kids of his own.

“I want to be in my kid’s life for the first five years,” he told Harper.

What I love about this story, is not only is the break-up/divorce amicable, but here Waka, a black man is speaking about the gratitude for being able to raise someone else’s child, and the impact it’s had on his life. Although he did cheat on Tammy often, Waka character wise and his willingness to commit to the situation of raising someone else’s child makes him a better man than most.

Too many single mothers, spend way too much time feeling less than, because they listen to the loudest in society who tell them that no one wants them or that they are unworthy because they have kids.

Whatever you focus on persists. So focus on the GOOD in you and the beauty of your life, in order to attract a better man.

But alas, so many of my followers have asked me what are my comments on Tammy & Waka’s breakup. So here we go.

This week Tammy Rivera went on IG Live and ended up addressing video of her husband Waka Flocka saying “I need some chocolate on stage” when referring to a group of dancing women during a recent performance.

Tammy confirmed what many already thought: She and Waka Flocka Flame are going their separate ways, and ending their marriage.

The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta alum addressed the rumors that she and the Cali rapper have split.

“Y’all not gon’ Waka me to death with those damn questions, talking ’bout Waka and all that stuff,” said Tammy. “I said the man fine, him and Charlie good, we good, we are not together and that’s cool. We’re good. We’re in good spaces.”

Rivera added that the two are still co-parenting their daughter, Charlie, despite them not being together and filming their reality show.

Back in December, Waka reposted another Instagram user’s message that reads, “How y’all wanna be married and don’t split the bills, but get a divorce and want half of his sh-t.” In the post, which he uploaded to his Instagram Story, he added a question box and asked his fans “How you feel about this.”

Tammy stuck with Waka through multiple cheating scandals. But at the end of the day, Tammy now has followers, fame, she’s on a tv show, and has a platform to be able to attract new high profile men and even create a profitable business.

Love definitely won’t last when people have a relationship with others outside of their marriage. But most women these days have a mindset of “Let him cheat” and they instead focus on the benefits package.

Tammy has greatly benefitted. She’s not losing at all.

But the bigger point is that, if it’s still not going to work, even if you allow him to cheat, perhaps it’s better to desire a man who will be faithful and give you the life of your dreams too…
