J.R. responded saying he’s been single for 6-months and that he and Tamar are only friends. As to the 25-year old girl, J.R. says he only became “friends” with that girl 3 days ago and have never had a conversation with her at all.
Posting a video unpacking his side of events, Robinson first said:
“JR, just let it go – show some grace!”
Well, sometimes grace requires defending yourself. I’ve always been accountable for my failures and spoken out about why they impacted me and other people. I’m not going to let a false narrative attack me, my family and or the foundation I’ve worked so hard to protect. So, here is how I feel about the situation.”
In the video, JR says that Tamar is “making up stories that aren’t real” and reveals, “I’ve been single for 6 months.”
The latter appears at odds with the image the singer put forth about their union within the same frame.

The madness started because J.R. says he used booking.com to book a hotel room at the 4 seasons and Tamar’s card that has the same last 4 numbers of his card was already in the account, which caused the booking to be charged to her card. He says he immediately called the hotel when he found out and they refunded Tay’s card and charged his card instead.
Tamar Braxton’s love story has taken a turn down break-up alley again.
On Monday Braxton’s fiancé JR Robinson from “Queens Court” announced that he’d broken up with the ‘Love and War’ songstress.
Robinson said he terminated the engagement in pursuit of becoming a “better person.”
He refuted allegations of infidelity and stated despite their breakup, they would remain “friends and family for life.”
To announce the break-up JR took to Instagram. In an Instagram Story, he conveyed, “Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
He also mentioned, “The details of what occurred and the reasons behind it are our private matters. No, I did not engage in any infidelity, and I was not present when her car was burglarized at her mother’s place.”
Despite making an appearance on the reality dating show on Peacock, he asserted that he had never sought fame and had turned down the opportunity multiple times before finally accepting it.
He wrote, “I fell in love, but it didn’t culminate as I had hoped. So now, I aim to mend.”
Robinson added, “Tamar and I will forever remain close friends and family. We appreciate your respect for our privacy.”
Braxton and Robinson’s engagement was publicly revealed during the “Queens Court” finale in March when he proposed.
She expressed, “I can’t believe I found what I was looking for.”
Their relationship encountered difficulties shortly thereafter when one of Robinson’s children’s mothers accused Braxton of causing “nothing but chaos.”
Anaston Jeni took to social media to assert, “My son does not mean ‘everything’ to her and she has not thanked God for me and truthfully, none of his baby mamas,” Anaston Jeni wrote on social media, adding that the “Changed” songstress has said “demeaning, disrespectful, and said outrageous things” about how she co-parents with Robinson.
Robinson, the founder of JR Law Group, promptly defended his then-fiancée, stating that she had been “an exceptional mother” who showered his children with affection.
Prior to accepting Robinson’s proposal, Braxton was romantically involved with entrepreneur David Adefeso and had a breakdown. Their tumultuous breakup came in 2020 after two years of dating.

After ending a tumultuous relationship where she felt unloved, Queen Tamar Braxton has found her king!
The Braxton Family Values star got engaged to her Queens Court finalist, Jeremy “JR” Robinson, in the Peacock dating show’s final episode. An update at the end of the episode confirmed that, six months later, the couple remain together and have been planning their wedding.
“I knew I was different than my siblings,” the singer, 45, told Robinson. “I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever prayed for as a child.”
Braxton went into Queens Court hoping to find love — but learned she actually needed something else.
“I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t,” the Celebrity Big Brother season 2 winner explained. “I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me.”
Robinson wanted to continue being there for Braxton.
“I’m not only willing, I’m ready,” he said. “So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband.”
Robinson then dropped to one knee.
“Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you,” the attorney said. “I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?”
Braxton asked Robinson if he was sure. “Absolutely sure,” he replied.
Through tears, Braxton nodded “yes.”
“Now you got to tell my son and my baby daddies,” said Braxton, who is mom to son Logan, 9, with ex-husband Vincent Herbert.
Robinson, who has five kids with four different with women, entered Queens Court in the first episode and he and Braxton bonded over losing loved ones. Braxton’s older sister Traci died in 2022 after battling cancer, and Robinson’s mother died from cancer. Robinson said he saw a hummingbird at his mother’s funeral, and according to Braxton, her sister said she would become a hummingbird when she died.
Basketball Wives Alum Evelyn Lozada got Engaged to Her Queens Court Finalist Lavon Lewis
Braxton looked for love on Queens Court alongside singer Nivea and Basketball Wives alum Evelyn Lozata. The show follows the three leads as they date a group of 21 men in hopes of finding their kings.
Despite having two men at the end, Nivea, 40, chose to conclude the show solo and continues to focus on herself and her family. Lozada however, got engaged to her finalist, Lavon Lewis, after filming ended.
“One of my favorite things is how well we get along and we talk about everything without judgment,” Lozada, 47, tells PEOPLE. “We work well together.”
Fans are worried about Tamar marrying a man with 5 kids with 4 different women. It shows that he has deeper issues that 9/10 are going to play out in this relationship. However, Tay Tay isn’t worried about the naysayers.
