Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are ready to get married!
Most people believe that once you break up with an ex you should never go back. But in the age of conscious, and enlightenment many people are able to see how they may have caused problems in their past relationships. In addition to dating other people, one can begin to grow appreciation for divine connections and soulmates.
Jennier Lopez and Ben Affleck seem to be on that path.
The pair who rekindled their romance last year — is now engaged. Lopez shared the news in her On the JLo newsletter days after she was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring earlier this week.
She revealed the exciting update in a Friday evening email to her inner circle. The message to fans included a clip of Lopez admiring a huge, green diamond on her ring finger, an image of which was also shared by her sister on social media.
Lopez teased the “major announcement” with a video on Twitter that same night. “So I have a really exciting and special story to share…” Lopez told her followers. She also added a diamond ring emoji to her Twitter handle.
Lopez recently told PEOPLE what makes their connection different now compared to 18 years ago, saying, “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.”

After four years of dating, the high profile romance between Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez has come to an end.
“This isn’t too surprising to anyone that has been close to them in recent months,” an insider tells Yahoo Entertainment.
Page Six, which was first to report the couple’s split, claims rumors that Rodriguez had cheated with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy led to the breakup. (For her part, LeCroy told Andy Cohen on a January 2021 cast reunion that her alleged affair with an unnamed, very famous ex-MLB player who’s married was limited to interactions on social media.)
Before their split, the couple nicknamed J-Rod had often mentioned each other in interviews and were frequently seen with one another’s children. They had announced their engagement in March 2019, although they had postponed their wedding plans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
What could’ve gone wrong in this relationship?
Here are two things that I know off top:
After moving in together in 2017, Rodriguez and Lopez posed together for the cover of Vanity Fair. In a joint interview, they were more candid than ever about their relationship.
1. Ladies, Never move in with a man that you’re not married to. He will look at it as you already being married. So whatever you are holding back from doing, he will judge you for it. It also slows down the urgency. Living separately also helps you continue to appreciate your mate. Familiarity breeds contempt.
2. Long engagements are often pointless. Either you’re going to get married and let it play out for keeps, or you’ll keep dating and eventually focusing on what you don’t like about each other.
Personally I would not be engaged for more than a year.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are engaged! A-Rod popped the question on Saturday night and, according to his Instagram, “she said yes.”
Both J.Lo and A-Rod posted photos of the former New York Yankee holding her hand, which bore a massive diamond sparkler on it. Plus, her nails were appropriately painted white.It looked as if there was a bonfire going in the background. How romantic!
The couple is currently on a romantic getaway in Bakers Bay where their days are filled with white sand beaches, palm trees and warm weather. A-Rod perhaps hinted at his engagement on Saturday in one of his Instagram Story moments. He shared an excerpt from a poem called “Soulmate” that was most definitely in honor of his now-fiancée.
“A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you. No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself,” the poem says. “A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be.”
