Cardi B and Offset know how to get some free media attention.

Rapper Cardi B filed for divorce from her rap star husband, Offset, on Tuesday (Sept. 15) after being married for three years, according to the Fulton County Magistrate in Georgia. The court documents obtained by Billboard indicate that Cardi is asking the court to award her primarily legal and physical custody of their child.

The couple was spotted celebrating the “Bodak Yellow” singer’s birthday together in October, with Cardi finally speaking out about their reconciliation shortly afterward via Instagram Live, telling fans, “You know how I be arguing with y’all on social media? That’s exactly how we are, between me and my man. So when people be saying I be doing s–t for attention, with this and that, no, I’m just a crazy bitch.”

“One day I’m happy, the next day I wanna beat a n—a up,” she affirmed. “I just be starting to miss [him]… It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it’s really hard to have no d–k.”

Now The “WAP” rapper — born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar — filed to dismiss her divorce petition against Offset — born Kiari Kendrell Cephus — on Monday, per a Georgia court docket obtained by Page Six.

She filed to dismiss the case without prejudice, meaning she could refile at a later date if things take a turn.

Offset immediately followed up by posting a video of Cardi cleaning the bathroom, claiming that she HAS to clean. He told Cardi that she needs to stop lying on her song lyrics.

What’s funny is that men will gaslight you into thinking you’re “crazy” when you go off about them disrespecting you or not giving you what you want.

And you will indeed feel crazy, because ten minutes later you’re back in love again. Women are VERY loving creatures.

This is also why most high value dating coaches advise women to kill their emotions, when it comes to responding to male behavior. It’s instead better to remain quiet and ask for what you want.

It definitely works. You WILL get things, but that still won’t stop you heart from breaking or from him embarrassing you. When you’re a boss chick, money and gifts simply stops moving you after a while, when your spirit and soul isn’t being treated right.

Dr. Dre’s wife learned that the hard way. She was quiet when Dre was cheating on her with multiple women. But now it’s divorce time, she wants to call his mistresses into court, and get half of his money. 

Women are told to not seek RESPECT from a man, but such a mindset comes at the cost of a woman loving herself less and less. Everyone wants to be valued and respected.

What’s most interesting about this story for me is that, I didn’t think much of Offset’s video post, calling Cardi a liar.  In my mind, even rich women with maids still do some cleaning. You can’t help but to.  Offset posting that video was also a great way to generate more news coverage for the couple.

However, just like when fans found out that Jay Z cheated on Beyonce and started to look at her different and take away from her branding power, Offset is actually doing the same thing, according to these comments from social media users, who believe Offset to be a complete narcissistic control freak.

At the end of the day, he didn’t dispute that WAP though.
